THE PHYSICIANS

Milton Wong, MD, FACE, ECNU

Dr. Milton Wong, a native of Hawaii, earned his B.A. in 1982 and M.D. in 1986, both from the University of Hawaii. He is the founder of Desert Endocrinology, one of the largest endocrine practices in Nevada, and has helped to set the standard of endocrine care in this community. Dr. Wong is a pioneer in the field of osteoporosis therapy, having been the first to implement DEXA scanning to the Las Vegas valley. Additionally, he has served as the Director of the Nevada Diabetes Center at Valley Hospital. He is a principal investigator for a number of clinical research protocols investigating new endocrine therapies. He has served on both state and national levels of the Board of Directors of American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE), the nationally-recognized organization for endocrinologists and their patients. Dr. Wong, his wife and two sons have lived in southern Nevada since 1991.


W. Reid Litchfield, MD, FACE, ECNU

Dr. Litchfield graduated summa cum laude from BYU and received his M.D. from the University of Calgary, where he also completed a 3-year residency in internal medicine. He completed his endocrinology training at Harvard Medical School and is the author of more than a dozen scientific publications. Dr. Litchfield is the Medical Director of St. Rose Dominican Hospital’s Diabetes Education Center. He has served as the President of the Nevada Chapter of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) and is currently on the National Board of Directors of AACE. He is a Principal Investigator in many clinical research protocols studying the effects of cutting-edge therapies in endocrinology. He is also an avid fly fisherman and cyclist. Dr. Litchfield has lived in Southern Nevada with his wife and three children since 1998.
